The history of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences of Kilis 7 Aralık University is closely related to the history of the university itself. The university started its educational activities with the establishment of Kilis Vocational School in 1987, which was the first higher education institution in the city of Kilis. The Kilis Vocational School was affiliated with the Gaziantep University until 2007, when the Kilis 7 Aralık University was founded with the law numbered 5662. The name of the university comes from the date when the city of Kilis was liberated from occupation during the Turkish War of Independence – December 7, 1921.

The Vocational School of Kilis 7 Aralık University was divided into four vocational schools as the Vocational School of Tourism and Hotel Management, the Vocational School of Social Sciences, and the Vocational School of Technical Sciences with the letter of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education dated 12.05.2017.

The Vocational School of Kilis 7 Aralık University offers two-year associate degree programs in various fields. Some of the programs are:

  • Computer Programming: This program aims to train technicians who can design, develop, and maintain software applications using different programming languages and tools.
  • Electrical and Energy: This program aims to train technicians who can install, operate, and maintain electrical and energy systems, such as power generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption.
  • Food Technology: This program aims to train technicians who can apply the principles of food science and technology to the production, processing, preservation, and quality control of food products.
  • Machine: This program aims to train technicians who can work with machines and mechanical systems, such as engines, pumps, compressors, and turbines, and perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks.
